SALEM, WV - The Salem International University women's volleyball welcomed in Glenville State on Wednesday night (Oct. 12) and it would be the Pioneers that would come away victorious in three sets (14-25, 18-25, 14-25).
Junior outside hitter
Rachel Hess delivered a team-high five kills and two service aces, while
Ashly Holt finished with four kills and five helpers for the Tigers.
SIU tallied six kills in the second set and hit .500 as a team, out-hitting the Pioneers (.400). Sophomore middle hitter
Tallora Soriano led the Tigers with 11 assists on the night while also recording one block.
Junior middle hitter
Alessandra Marquez recorded four kills and a team-high three blocks for the Tigers.
Bailey Brawner paced the Pioneers with nine kills and six service aces, while teammate Ai Miyazaki recorded eight kills and six service aces. Allison Parski finished with a match-high 16 assists for Glenville State.
