INSTITUTE, WV - The Salem International University women's volleyball squad fell in consecutive sets (15-25, 19-25, 19-25) to West Virginia State University on Wednesday night (Oct. 19) at the Walker Convocation Center. The Tigers led on three seperate occasions and received a match-high nine kills from sophomore outside hitter

SIU will head to Lincoln, Pa. this Saturday (Oct. 22) to face the Lions of Lincoln University. First serve is set for 2 p.m. The Tigers return home to the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium to host Ohio Valley University on Tuesday, October 25 at 7 p.m.
After dropping each of the first two sets to the Yellow Jackets, SIU would look to rally in the third set. The Tigers tallied 11 kills and were 14-24 in sideouts.
Freihofer finished the night with eight digs and four assists for the Tigers, while sophomore
Cassidy Pluta recorded a team-high 16 digs.

Tallora Soriano led the Tigers with nine assists on the night while also digging up four balls. Freshman setter
Justine Ramirez tallied eight helpers for SIU.
Rebekah Baldwin led WVSU with nine kills, while teammate Brooke Cieslewski totaled 14 digs and three service aces. Mallory Rennard (15) and Allison Tumey (10) accounted for 25 of the Yellow Jackets 36 assists in the match.
