SALEM, W.Va. – Salem International hosted a tri-match with Kentucky Wesleyan and West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday. SIU fell to KWC in the day's opening match, 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-16) and dropped a 3-1 (18-25, 25-17, 25,17, 25-16) decision to WVWC.

Rachel Hess led the way for the Tigers against the Panthers with six kills. Ashly Holt posted 16 assists and Sophie Freihofer notched 10 digs.

Hess and Freihofer each recorded 14 kills versus the Bobcats. Holt divvied out 35 assists, while Freihofer delivered 15 digs.

SIU returns to the court on Tuesday evening at Davis & Elkins, start time is set for 6 p.m.
