Box Score 2 CANTON, Ohio (Oct. 14, 2017) – The Salem University Tigers volleyball team lost two matches on Saturday, falling to Ursuline College and Malone University in three sets each.
In the first match,
Rachel Hess led the Tigers with eight kills but Ursuline was too efficient, getting stronger each set with a hitting percentage of .344, winning 25-16, 25-16, 25-13.
Salem struggled to control Ursuline's serves, giving up 10 aces.
For the Tigers,
Cassidy Pluta had 13 assists and
Jen Foreman had nine digs. Angela Zamora and Hannah Hottinger had 10 k ills each for Ursuline.
Malone University featured two players with double-digit kills, getting 11 from faith Lau and 10 from Mallory Adams to win 25-21, 25-13, 25-15.
For the match, Salem University had 26 kills and 16 errors on 98 attacks for a .102 hitting percentage. Malone had 37 kills and 14 errors on 109 attacks for a .211 hitting percentage.
Hess led the Tigers with nine kills and 12 digs.
Feliciana Reed had 13 assists and
Nina Isaac had three blocks.
With the losses, the Tigers drop to 5-21 on the season. Salem will host Glenville State College on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. For live stats and streaming,
