SALEM, W.Va.- The Salem University volleyball team fell to Davis & Elkins 3-0, Friday night.

Salem was downed by Davis & Elkins in three straight sets (25-21, 25-11, 25-17) pushing the team to a 7-23 record.

The Senators led the Tigers in all major statistical categories including digs (40-31), assists (31-19) and kills (31-19). The Tigers worked together for a total of three team blocks, whereas the Senators had six team blocks.

Solei Daniels led the Senators with eleven kills while Kaitlyn LaCour contributed with a team high of 13 digs.

Cassidy Pluta led Salem with nine kills and eight assists while senior
Kathryne Mathis had eleven digs from the back row.

Liane Moser had a hard kill for Salem's last point of the day as she received a set from freshman
Jalavia Johnson.

The volleyball team is set to host West Virginia State on Mike Carey Court Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
