CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Salem University men's and women's swimming teams competed in a relay meet at the University of California (Pa.), Saturday afternoon.
The women competed against Califonia (Pa.) and Notre Dame (Ohio). California won the meet with a score of 166, Notre Dame finished second with 98 and the Tigers finished third with 62 points, while the men fell to Notre Dame 194-108.
On the women's side, the trio of freshman

Chloe Smart swam to a first-place finish in the 300-yard breaststroke with a time of 4:15.19.

Chloe Woodbine finished second in the 400-yard medley 4x100 IM at 4:57.63, while Platz, Smart, Woodbine and Piper finished the 400-yard freestyle with a mark of 4:05.26, well enough for second place.

Gabriel Craig swam to a first-place finish in the 300-yard butterfly (2:48.85) and the 300-yard breaststroke (3:17.23).
In the 200-yard freestyle, freshman
Austin Kephart, freshman
Sean Rhode, Smith and Samuels finished first with a time of 1:36.32, while the quad also finished first in the 400-yard freestyle at 3:29.01.
Kephart, Smith and Samuels placed first in the 1500-yard freestyle with a mark of 15:38.33.
