CANTON, Ohio – The Salem University swim teams concluded a successful week at the 2026 Great Midwest & Mountain East Conference Championships at the C.T. Branin Natatorium. The Tigers demonstrated their depth by qualifying for and competing in numerous A, B, and C finals throughout the event.
Men's Team Performance
The men's team earned a 6th-place overall finish with 574 total points. Their performance was anchored by strong relay finishes and competitive individual final appearances.

Top Relay Finish: The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Elias Maurer, Veer Kassan, Riquelio Joseph, and Kelvin Ceasar secured a 7th-place finish in the A Final with a time of 1:37.08.

B-Final Standout: Sophomore Veer Kassan delivered a strong performance in the B Final of the 400 Yard IM, placing 12th overall (4th in the B final) with a time of 4:17.37.

C-Final Success: The Tigers showed great depth in the 200 Yard Breaststroke C Final, where Riquelio Joseph took 11th, Milan Mihajlovic took 17th place overall and freshman Nandor Voros followed in 19th.

Backstroke and Distance: Veer Kassan finished 6th overall in the 200 Yard Backstroke . In the 1650 Yard Freestyle, Alvaro Arruga Moreno earned a top 10 finish
Women's Team Performance
The Salem women's team finished 9th overall with 247 points. The squad was highlighted by gritty relay performances and strong individual efforts in the preliminary and final heats.

Medley Relay: The 200 Yard Medley Relay team, featuring Lucy Bramwell, Kara Wicht, Morgan Fenner, and Sheridan Hamilton, finished 9th with a time of 2:10.51.

400 Yard Medley Relay: The team of Keri Brooks, Matipa Karimazondo, Sheridan Hamilton, and Lorelai Weaver also secured a 9th-place finish, clocking in at 4:47.96.

Individual Sprints: Cheyanne Rohde led the sprinters with a 28th-place finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle (25.72)
- Breaststroke Effort: Sophomore Kara Wicht competed in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, posting a preliminary time of 1:20.44.
