LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. –The Salem University women's soccer team rolled over Lincoln (Pa.) 6-2, Wednesday night.
With the win, the Tigers jump to 9-3-1 on the year.
Salem dominated the stat sheet as they led Lincoln in shots (41-10), shots on goal (28-8) and corners (7-3).
Sophomore
Thuto Ramafifi continued her offensive tear as she notched her fifth-straight multi-goal match with two. Ramafifi has scored 15 goals in her last five contests, averaging three goals per game.
Ramafifi also led the team in assists as she garnered a single-game season high three.
Junior
Catherine Bonilla also added two goals and two assists in the match. Bonilla has notched five goals this season and four in the past two matches.
Senior
Jasmine Seaton and junior
Sabina Morello each added one goal, while Morello also accounted for one assist.
Sophomore
Valentina Bonaiuto aided the Tigers to victory as she recorded six saves and allowed two goals in 90 minutes.
The Tigers jumped out early on the Lions as Ramafifi and Seaton scored at 3:26 and 9:59, respectively.
Lincoln answered with its first goal at 39:50 to cut Salem's lead to 2-1.
The Tigers added two more goals before intermission as Bonilla and Ramafifi each scored a goal and assisted each other on their respective goals.
Salem took a commanding 4-1 lead into intermission and did not look back.
Lincoln notched the first score in the second half to cut the Tigers lead to two (4-2), but at 63:37 Bonilla produced her second goal of the evening to expand the lead to 5-2.
Morello added insurance to the Tigers lead at 71:10 with the game's final goal to give Salem a 6-2 lead.
Salem is back in action Friday as it continues its road trip at Felician for a 5:00 p.m. kick.
