SALEM, W.Va. – Despite having five players in double-figures the Salem University women's basketball team fell to Seton Hill (Pa.) 97-84, Tuesday night.
Following the loss, Salem drops to 2-8, while Seton Hill improves to 5-2.
The Tigers shot 32.5 percent (26-80) in the contest, while Seton Hill shot 43.8 percent (32-73). The Tigers were held to just 22.22 percent (8-36) in the first half.
Salem was outscored in the paint 42-32, while the Tigers' bench was also outscored 41-21.
Freshman
Nia Bishop had another impressive performance in her second game of the year, as she netted a team-high 21 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out a team-high three assists. This marks the second-straight 20 point game from Bishop.

Precious Price added 17 points, classmate
Aaliyah Holmes scored 11, junior
Endia Jones netted 11 and sophomore
Taelor Carter tossed in 10.
The Tigers found themselves in a hole early as Seton Hill outscored Salem 27-14 in the first quarter behind an 11-4 run to close out the quarter.
In the second quarter, the Tigers cut the Seton Hill lead to six as Price drained a shot from behind the arc at 6:07 as the Tigers trailed 30-24. Salem fell behind 44-31 at the intermission.
Seton Hill started the second half off on a 14-2 run, as the Tigers quickly fell behind by 25 at 6:17 in the third quarter. Salem cut the lead to 18 at the end of the third quarter after a pair of made free throw from junior
Reeva Jackson.
The Tigers outscored the Griffins 32-27 in the fourth quarter, as Salem trailed Seton hill 79-58 with 6:53 remaining in the game, the Tigers ensued a 16-4 run to cut the lead to nine (83-74) with three minutes left in the contest.
Seton Hill cashed in on its free throws late in the game to hold off the Tigers' comeback attempt.
The Griffins were led by Megan Marecic who posted a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
The Tigers are back in action Thursday as they travel to Fairmont State for a game at 6:00 p.m.
