HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Salem University women's soccer team fell short to Lincoln Memorial 1-0, Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers take their first loss of the season, while LMU earns a 2-0 start to its year.
The Tigers generated eleven total shots with three on goal, whereas LMU had 15 shots with six on goal.

Valentina Bonaiuto had a strong showing and notched five saves in the game.
Salem was led by junior
Tamara Queiroz with a total of nine shots with three on goal.
The first scoring opportunity for the Rail Splitters came at 37:21 as LMU's Ashlyn Miller received a pass from teammate Jessica Steen to take the lead and net the only goal of the day.
The Tigers head home to play their home opener Saturday, September 8th against Lincoln University (Pa.) at 12:00 p.m. in Catalano Stadium.
