BUCKHANNON, W.Va.- The Salem University volleyball team dropped two matches in three sets each to West Virginia Wesleyan and Alderson Broaddus, Tuesday evening, moving to 3-17.

Game One

In the first match, the Tigers lost in three straight sets (25-20, 25-12, 25-10) to Wesleyan.

The Bobcats led Salem in digs 64-42, kills 44-20 and aces 5-0 while, the Tigers led Wesleyan in blocks 4-2.

Salem was led by senior
Cassidy Pluta with six kills and eight assists, while senior
Adela Parras notched a game-high of eleven digs.

Game Two

In the nightcap, Salem dropped its match to the Battlers in three sets (25-13, 25-20, 25-12).

The Tigers trailed in digs 51-29, aces 7-2 and kills 39-17, while they led the Battlers in blocks 5-3.

Pluta led the Tigers again in assists with 13 and digs with eight, while freshman
Yesenia Munoz took over with a team-high five kills.

The Salem Tigers travel to Institute, W.Va. to compete in a tri-match on Thursday against Appalachian Bible at 6:30 p.m. and the West Virginia State at 8:00 p.m.
