Salem University hopes to keep its home winning streak going Monday as the Tigers play host to Cheyney University in NCAA Division II men's basketball Monday. Tip-off is 8 p.m. at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium, following Tiger women's basketball against Cheyney.

After playing on the road for more than a month, Salem (8-7) is coming off a 77-75 home victory Tuesday over Central State University as the Tigers used a late 10-0 to take the lead for good.
Malique Ross's three-point play with 1:21 left to play broke a 72-72 tie and
Fonz Hale's highlight-reel 10-foot jumper in the paint with 26 seconds remaining proved to be the game winner.

After dropping its home opener in November, Salem has won four in a row at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.

Cheyney (1-13) is playing for the first time since falling to Frostburg State 96-64 January 4.

Tonight's contest is the first meeting between the two teams since November 18, 2006. The Tigers defeated Cheyney 76-72 during the 2006-07 season-opening Bowie State University Tournament in Bowie, Md.
