In a game just added this week, Salem University travels to Columbus, Ohio, tonight to take on Ohio Dominican University in NCAA Division II men's basketball. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Salem (1-1) is playing for the first time since November 17 when the Tigers fell 99-78 at Lincoln University (Pa.). Salem cut an 18-point deficit down to a single point, but Lincoln opened the second half with a scoring run to extend its lead back to double digits.

Fonz Hale led all players with 23 points, while
Aleksa Dobrijevic finished with 16 points and
Barron Tanner added 15 points. Hale, Dobrijevic and Tanner are among five Tigers averaging in double figures through two games, along with
Shawn Christian and
Jordan Forbes.

Ohio Dominican is playing its season opener tonight. The Panthers posted a 12-17 record last season.

Salem and Ohio Dominican are facing each other for the first time since November 20, 2013. The Tigers won 80-77 at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.

Tonight's game is being preceded by Ohio Dominican's women's basketball game against Cedarville University, which has a 5:30 p.m. tip-off. Due to between-game sanitizing procedures to protect against COVID-19, the start of the Tigers' game likely will likely be delayed.

Salem will be off Friday and then back on the road Saturday as the Tigers travel to Newark, Del., to take on Division I University of Delaware. Tip-off is 2 p.m.
