Box Score Fonz Hale led five players in double figures with a season-high 27 points and
Aleksa Dobrijevic recorded his first double-double with season bests of 19 points and 10 rebounds as Salem University extended its winning streak to nine with a 125-96 victory over Oakland City University Friday at Oakland City, Ind.
Jordan Forbes also notched his third consecutive double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Tigers reached the 60-point mark in each half.

Hale's three-pointer with 13:38 left in the first half broke an 11-11 tie to put Salem (16-7) on top to stay.
Stan Smith's two free throws with 10:45 remaining capped a 14-2 run to give the Tigers their first double-digit lead at 23-13.

Oakland City (8-15) cut Salem's lead in half, but the Tigers held the Mighty Oaks to just three free throws over the final four-plus minutes of the half to break the game open. Salem hit four three-pointers in a span of 56 seconds – three by Hale and one by
Malique Ross – and Dobrijevic hit a layup at the buzzer as the Tigers outscored Oakland City 25-3 to end the half and take a 65-38 halftime lead.

Shawn Christian's three-pointer just five seconds into the second half extended Salem's lead to 30 and the margin surpassed the 40-point mark when
Marko Tutunovic's layup built the Tigers' advantage to 101-59 with 11:35 left to play. Salem led by as many as 44 points in the second half.

Christian finished with 17 points for the Tigers and Smith added 13 points. Hale dished out a team-high five assists, while Christian, Forbes, Ross and Tutunovic each had four assists. Dobrijevic also blocked four shots.

Tyler Toopes led Oakland City with 26 points. Friday's loss was only the third in 10 home games this season for the Mighty Oaks.

Salem and Oakland City will face each other again Saturday at 2 p.m. (Eastern).
