In a college basketball rarity, Salem University plays games on back-to-back days against the same opponent as the Tigers are in Oakland City, Ind., this weekend for a pair of contests against Oakland City University. The two teams face each other tonight at 8 p.m. (Eastern) and again Saturday at 2 p.m. (Eastern).

Salem (15-7) extended its winning streak to eight Wednesday with a 72-61 victory over a pesky Ohio Valley University team. The Tigers led the entire second half, but never pulled away until the final minutes.

Oakland City (8-14) is coming off a 92-71 loss Saturday at Simmons College (Ky.). Oakland City has a 7-2 record at home this season.

Salem is back on its homecourt for a pair of games next week. The Tigers play host to Alderson Broaddus University Wednesday evening and then celebrate Senior Day next Saturday afternoon against Bluefield State College.
