Track & Field Releases Spring Outdoor Schedule

Salem, WV- The Track & Field program at Salem recently announced their upcoming outdoor schedule. The Track & Field team will start their season on March 14th , 372 days after their last competition.

"We had a lot of momentum moving the program forward last year right before the shutdown, we are excited to be able to have the chance to compete this spring" stated Director of XC/Track & Field Dan Meyers.

Track & Field had a very successful 2019-2020 Indoor campaign that rewrote the record books. With over ten plus marks improved on the record board, the Tigers hope to do the same with the outdoor records this spring.

"This will be truly the third outdoor track season in modern day history, we have some great athletes that are looking to make their mark on this program, I am excited with the slate of meets we have for them to do that" added Meyers.

The Tigers will also make modern day history, co-hosting two outdoor meets with nearby West Virginia Wesleyan. Salem will co-host with the Bobcats on April 12th and April 23rd.

"I am very appreciative to West Virginia Wesleyan, and Head Coach Alan Crise for allowing us to put our name beside theirs with hosting a meet at their facility. We have many teams interested in attending, and I know this will be an exciting time for our program" Meyers added.

Salem Track & Field will travel to Glenville State College for the Brandi Bowen Invite to get the season started on March 14th.
