Gannon, PA- Despite a three-point lead going into the half, Salem University men's basketball team falls 72-63 at #21 ranked Gannon University on Tuesday. Jordan Forbes led the Tigers with 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

How It Happened:

• After a slow start for both sides, the Tigers tied it up at 22-22 after a three from Aleksa Dobrijevic with seven minutes remaining in the first half.  The Tigers and the Golden Knights battled to keep the lead until a three from Fonz Hale on a Fastbreak to put Salem ahead 33-30 going into the half. 
• Hale also started the scoring for the second half with a three to extend the Tigers lead 36-30.
• Gannon tied it up midway through the second half with a layup putting the score at 43-43 before keeping the lead for the remainder of the game. The Tigers cut the lead to five with eight minutes remaining, but it was the closest they would get for the remainder of the game. 

Stat Highlights:

• The Tigers shot a season high of 84.2% from the free throw line.
• Three Tigers came away with double digit scoring: Jordan Forbes with 20, Aleksa Dobrijevic with 12 and Fonz Hale with 11.
• Jordan Forbes has scored double digits in all eight games of the season this far with 23, 12, 14, 14, 25, 19, 26 and 20.

The Tigers will have a rematch with Gannon tomorrow at 6 PM.
