Gannon, PA- Salem University men's basketball bounced back on Wednesday night to upset #21 Gannon University 54-53.  Jordan Forbes led all players in the scoring column with 19 points.
How It Happened:

• The Tigers got off to a hot start going on a 12-2 run to begin the first half. After being down by one, Fonz Hale put the Tigers ahead 27-25 witha three ball with 3:25 remaining in the first half. The Golden Knights quickly answered with Emanuel Henriques putting them ahead 28-27. 
• Two free throws by D'Montez Owens and one from Barron Tanner tied it up 30-30 with 28 seconds to go. Jordan Forbes took it to the hoop at the buzzer to take the Tigers into the half with a 32-30 lead over the Golden Knights.
• The Tigers came out of the half scoring the first five points with a layup from Tanner and a three from Forbes. The Tigers were able to maintain the lead until 3:51 left after a 3 from the Golden Knights to go ahead 51-49.
• Forbes tied it up with a spin move from the high post to tie it up 51-51 with 2:46 left. Amani Walker answered in the next possession to put the Golden Knights ahead 53-51. A corner three from Aleksa Dobrijevic was enough to put the Tigers ahead 54-53 and come away with the victory. 

Stat Highlights:

• Three Tigers scored double digits: Jordan Forbes with 19, Aleksa Dobrijevic with 14, and Fonz Hale with 13.

 
The Tigers will be back in action on the road against Bluefield State College February 27^thand 28^th.
