Morgantown, WV- Salem University softball fell to Frostburg State University in a double header contest
on Saturday, 10-1 and 7-0. The Tigers had five combined hits through both games.
Game One:
The Tigers got on the board first in the second after a leadoff walk from Garay who scored on a wild pitch. The Bobcats quickly answered scoring nine in the third. The Tigers were able to hold Frostburg to 10 but couldn't get the bats going.
Breanna Jimenez and
Mackenzie Ringer both collected hits for the Tigers in game one.
Game Two:
Despite having more hits in game two, the Tigers remained scoreless in game two. Two of the three hits for the Tigers came in the sixth inning with the final hit in the seventh.
Destinee Baldwin went five innings for the Tigers in the circle giving up six runs while striking out four.
Salem University softball games on Monday are now postponed, and the next games currently scheduled are home on the 18th versus Ursuline.
