Erie, PA- Salem University baseball fell to Mercyhurst University in a double header Saturday 8-2 and 4-2. Alan Larocque had three of the Tigers ten hits.
Game One:
Despite Mercyhurst getting on the board first, the Tigers loaded the bases in the second and came away with two in the second to go ahead 2-1. Mercyhurst had a strong fifth inning to go ahead 8-2. The Tigers added the final run of the game in the sixth to make the score 8-3.
Game Two:
An Austin Earl left field homerun put the Tigers on the board in first in game two. In the third, Larocque singled to right field to bring in a run to go ahead 2-0. The Tigers held Mercyhurst scoreless until a homerun in the seventh to come away with the 4-2 win.
The Tigers will travel to Washington, PA to compete against California University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, March 23rd at 2 p.m.
