Tigersville, SC- Salem University baseball fell to #12 North Greenville University in the series 22-4, 16-1 and 20-2. The Tigers collected 17 hits over the weekend, four of those coming from Austin Earls.
Game One:Â
After being down 1-0 in the third, Kobie Carpenter got the Tigers started with a single to center followed by two walks from Noah Suarez and Alan Larocque to load the bases. Tyler Shinn drove in one to put the Tigers on the board with Brett Graham sending one up the middle to drive in two to finish up the inning ahead 3-1. The Crusaders had two 8 run innings to put away the Tigers 22-4. The Tigers had nine hits in game one with Noah Suarez leading the way with three.
Game Two:
The Tigers first inning miscues led to the Crusaders jumping ahead 10-0. The Tigers put one on the board in the sixth after a bases loaded walk to Graham brought in one but were not able to add more. Billy Lintner had a strong performance out of the bullpen going four innings giving up one hit, three runs and striking out six.
Game Three:
The Tigers got their scoring started in the fifth with a lead-off double from Josh Medina. Kasey Buchanan sent one down the left field line to bring in Medina. Earl added another for the Tigers with a homer to left field.
The Tigers will return to action Tuesday, March 30th at Seton Hill University for one game starting at 3 p.m.
