Salem University baseball topped Bluefield State College in a double header contest Tuesday 12-7 and 17-3. The Tigers had 25 hits on the day. Noah Suarez and Quinten Collins combined for eight hits and 10 RBIs.

Game One:

Suarez got the Tigers started early with a leadoff double. Medina drove in the first run of the game with a single to left field. Trey Hissam sent one over the left field fence in the second to put the Tigers ahead 3-0. The Tigers kept the Big Blues off the board until the fourth when they plated two. The Tigers had a big inning in the sixth putting eight runs on the board. Murray, Suarez, Medina, Abele, and Collins all collected RBIs during this inning.

Game Two:

The Tigers scored three runs each in the first three innings to go ahead 9-2. In the second, Austin Earls hit a three run homer to left field. The Tigers had another big inning in the fourth scoring seven that started with four walks. The Tigers collected 16 hits and 11 walks in game two.

The Tigers will return to action tomorrow at Concord University in a single game starting at 3 p.m.
