Despite a late rally by the Tigers, Salem University baseball fell to Concord University on Wednesday 16-10. Josh Medina had four of the Tigers 12 hits.
The Tigers got on the board early after Medina sent one back up the middle to bring in two runs in the first. Concord quickly answered back in the bottom of the inning after a homerun put them ahead 4-2. Medina collect his third RBI on the day in the third to pull the Tigers within two. The Tigers went into the eighth down nine, but after some miscues from the Mountain Lions and three singles by Medina, Kasey Buchanan, and Cameron Abele the Tigers put up four but were not able to continue the rally.
The Tigers will travel to Savannah State University for a weekend series with two games on Friday at 1 and 3 p.m.
