West Liberty, WV- Salem University softball fell to West Liberty University in a double header contest on Monday 10-0 and 9-0. Adriana Sanchez and Ricki Garay collected the only two hits for the day for the Tigers.
Game One:
The slow start for the Tigers led to them going hitless in game one of the series. Christine Bombardiere and Andrea Gallegos both went to work in the circle for the Tigers giving up a combined 13 hits.
Game Two:
Sanchez got things started in game two with a leadoff single through the right side, but the Tigers were not able to capitalize on this hit. The second hit on the day came from Garay in the second with a single through the left side. Destine Baldwin was in the circle for the Tigers in game two giving up 10 hits while striking out two.
The Tigers will go back to work at Concord University March 10th at 2 PM and 4 PM.
