Salem University baseball came out victorious at Ohio Valley University in a single game on Tuesday 5-1. Dominic Curole started on the mound for the Tigers throwing eight innings, only giving up two hits and one run while striking out 12. Frankie Cleary collected the save for the Tigers.
The Tigers were able to put two on the board off of a single to left field in the second by Quinten Collins. Going into the ninth up 3-1, Austin Earl sent one over the left field fence to add to the Tiger lead 5-1.
Earl collected two hits and two RBIs on the day while Kobie Carpenter added one hit and two RBIs.
The Tigers will travel to Virginia State for a weekend series starting with two games on Saturday at 2 p.m.
