Buckhannon, WV – Salem University men's basketball extend to 10-4 on the year after an 86-66 win over West Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday
Fonz Hale led the scoring for the Tigers with 27 followed by Tobias Howard Jr. with 18 and Barron Tanner with 13. Kapone Barley and Darius Bell came away with eight rebounds on the day.
After WVWC striking first, the Tigers took the lead and never looked back. The Tigers went on an 10-0 in the final four minutes of the first half to extend their lead to 16 going into the half.
The Tigers achieved their largest lead of the night (27) at the nine-minute mark after Tanner forced a turnover and took it to the net for two. Despite WVWC outscoring the Tigers 8-1 in the final three minutes, the Tigers came away with the victory over the Bobcats.
