BOWIE, Maryland - Today, the Salem Volleyball team traveled to Bowie, Maryland to play against Bowie State University. This evening's match didn't go the Tigers way who were unable to clench a win in the three sets. The first set score being 14-25, the second 15-25 and the last 21-25 all to the Bulldogs. Bowie State came out of the gates strong scoring the first 6 points against the Tigers. Salem found their groove a little more going toe to toe with Bowie State for their first five points, however the Bulldogs shut them down quickly ending the set 15-25. The last set had the Tigers fired up, they went point for point with the Bulldogs until the end only falling short 21-25.

Despite their loss this evening,Salem had some stand out performances.
Makhia Hinton had 7 kills, 1 block, 2 assists and 8 digs for the Tigers.
Clanae Davis had 6 kills and 1 block.
Brianna Sotelo came away with 11 assists.
Trinity Eliasen had 5 assists and 7 digs.
For the Tigers next match, they will be traveling to Bluefield, West Virginia to play Kentucky State University and Bluefield State University on Saturday, October 15th.
