Tigers Match Up Against Winston-Salem State

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina - The Salem women's volleyball team traveled to North Carolina this morning in preparation for their second match up against the Winston-Salem State University Rams. After their last unsuccessful battle against the Rams at home, they were looking to come back strong tonight. Each set tonight was played closely however no sets were in favor of the tigers.
 
During the first set, the Tigers came out strong but fell with a six-point gap to the Rams, the score showing 19-25. The second set showed the Tigers still putting up a good offensive fight with the Rams, however the set went to Winston-Salem again 19-25. Even though the last set didn't go Salem's way, they were insistent on keeping the Rams on their toes putting up 18 points to the Ram's 25.
 
The Tigers had some key players during the game that put up a strong attack. Makhia Hinton had 5 Kills, Brianna Sotelo put up 4 and Alycia Rivera had 3 for Salem. Trinity Eliasen had 5 assists throughout the game. Defensively, Makhia Hinton had 10 digs for Salem and Olivia Dupras had 6.
The next match up for the Tigers is on the 12th of October against Bowie State University at 6 PM. The Tigers will be travelling to Bowie, Maryland for this game.
