FAIRMONT, West Virginia- The Salem Tigers women's soccer were back on the road on Sunday afternoon as they took on the Fairmont State Falcons. The Falcons were able to take full control of this game early and were able to secure a 7-0 victory over the Tigers this afternoon.

In the first half, the Falcons were able to get off to a hot start as they scored a goal less than 5 minutes into the game. The next 20 minutes of play the offenses were quiet until, the Falcons were able to a goal at the 24-minute mark. Four minutes later, the Falcons were able to get on the board again extending their lead to 3-0. At this point of the game the Tigers were needing to get the offense going to cut down the Falcons lead. However, the Falcons would score two more times before half. The Falcons were able to go into half with a 5-0 lead.

In the second half, the Fairmont State Falcons were able to score their 6
th goal of the game at the 57-minute mark. Later in the second half the Falcons were able to score their final goal of the game at the 72-minute mark. Unfortunately, the Tigers couldn't get the offense going and the Falcons were able to take the game 7-0. In the stats sheet,
Sarah Cabrera was able to get 19 saves in the game.

After the tough loss, the Tigers will have a chance to get in the win column as they travel to Wheeling, West Virginia to take on the Wheeling Cardinals September 25
th at 7:00 PM.
