SALEM, West Virginia- Coming off a home loss against the Charleston Golden Eagles, the Salem Tigers men's basketball team looked to get back on track on Wednesday night. The Tigers continued their homestand against the Frostburg State Bobcats and were looking to secure the win. However, Frostburg State would get the offense rolling and get the 99-90 victory over Salem.
In the first half, Salem would get off to a quick start by grabbing a 14-11 lead just 5 minutes into play. The Tigers would extend their lead to 5 after a couple buckets from
Jalen Barnes and

In the second half, the Tigers looked to cut the lead down early to start things off. Fortunately, they were able to do just that after a few layups by
Tyree Davis and
Jalen Barnes. With 17 minutes remaining, Frostburg was up 52-51. The Bobcats were able to hold the lead over the next 5 minutes of play and held a 67-64 lead with 11 minutes remaining. One play later,
Daquan Coleman nailed a three pointer to tie the game up at 67. However, the Bobcats were able to grab the lead back and get ahead 85-79 with 5 minutes left. The Tigers needed to make a run to lower the deficit as game time continued to wind down. Unfortunately, the Bobcats were able to maintain that lead and close out the game. Frostburg State defeated Salem 99-90.
On the stats sheet,
Daquan Coleman led all Tigers with 24 points on 50 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
