Salem, WEST VIRGINIA- After an incredible 2024 season for the Salem men's water polo team the awards continue to pour in. On Tuesday, the individual awards and All-American teams were given out by the Association of College Water Polo Coaches. The Tigers had multiple individuals make the list with
Nikola Krstonosic and Rob Bullion leading the way.
Nikola Krstonosic started out with a huge honor becoming the first Salem Water Polo player to ever receive the ACWPC Division II Player of the Year. Also, earned himself as the two-time WWPA Player of the Year. Krstonosic was given the NCAA Elite 90 award as well. All are impressive honors and a great way to close out his senior campaign.
Rob Bullion had a great season as he led the Tigers to a historic 20-4 season and first WWPA Championship. He earned his second Division II Coach of the Year with his previous one being in 2022. With the impressive run, Bullion will look to continue on his historic success for the next season.
Marko Zivojinovic was announced to Division II First Team honors along with teammate
Nikola Krstonosic. Zivojinovic now is a three-time First Team All American and earned WWPA Offensive Player of the Week twice during the season.
Duarte Costa earned Division II Honorable Mention in his senior campaign as the goalkeeper as well.
