Tigers Wrap Up Road Stretch at Wheeling

WHEELING, W.Va. — The Salem University women's soccer team continued its road slate on Wednesday afternoon, falling 10–0 to Wheeling in Mountain State action at Bishop Schmitt Field.

The Tigers (1-13-0) battled through a strong first half defensively before Wheeling pulled away with a pair of late goals before halftime and added to its lead in the second.

Goalkeeper Chloe Owens stood out in net once again, posting 16 saves while facing 42 total shots from the Cardinals' attack. Niah Hidalgo and Audriana Medina each tallied a shot for Salem, helping to create chances on the counter throughout the match.

Defensively, Britney Riley anchored the back line against constant pressure, while the Tigers worked to limit Wheeling's set-piece opportunities.

Next up, the Tigers take on West Liberty at home on Sunday, October 26th.
