FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The Salem University women's soccer team closed out its road schedule on Wednesday evening, dropping a 13–0 decision to regionally ranked Fairmont State at Duvall-Rosier Field.
The Falcons (12-1-2) struck early with six goals in the opening half and added seven more after the break. Despite the offensive pressure, goalkeepers Chloe Owens and Janiya Brooks-Crews combined for 20 total saves, continuing to show their toughness in goal. Owens made 11 saves in the first half before Brooks-Crews stopped nine more in relief.
Offensively, Niah Hidalgo produced Salem's lone shot of the match, while Sara Del Bosque Duque, Valentina Valle, and Britney Riley logged heavy minutes in the midfield and defensive lines.
Next up, the Tigers finish the home slate of the 2025 season with a contest against Frostburg State at The Bridge Sports Complex on Saturday, November 1st.
