BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Salem University women's soccer team wrapped up its 2025 season on Saturday afternoon, falling 9–0 to Frostburg State at The Bridge Sports Complex.
The Bobcats (10-4-3) scored five goals in the opening half and added four more in the second, but goalkeeper Chloe Owens kept the Tigers in the match with a determined performance, tallying 14 saves while facing 34 total shots.
Salem (1-16-0) generated its lone shot on goal in the second half when Janiya Brooks-Crews, who entered the field as an outfield player, tested the Frostburg goalkeeper in the 83rd minute.
Despite the final score, the Tigers showed persistence and resolve in their season finale, with Britney Riley and Nevaeh Guzman leading a defensive group that logged all 90 minutes of action.
Salem concludes the regular season on Wednesday, November in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania against Point Park.
