BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Salem University men's and women's swimming teams turned in strong individual performances on Saturday at the UHC Aquatic Center, highlighted by several event victories and numerous top-three finishes across both squads.

Event Winners

• Alvaro Arruga Moreno — 1st in the 1000 Free (10:40.02) and 1st in the 500 Free (5:08.34)

• Elias Maurer — 1st in the 200 Free (1:46.63)

• Riquelio Joseph — 1st in the 100 Fly (52.02)

• Riquelio Joseph — 1st in the 100 Breast (59.50)

Additional Top Performances

• Nandor Voros — 3rd in the 200 Free and 4th in the 100 Free

• Jakub Husár — 2nd in the 1000 Free, 5th in the 200 Free

• Fulop Zsombor — 5th in the 100 Free

• Connor Murray — 3rd in the 100 Back, 3rd in the 500 Free

• Timothy Fischer — 4th in the 500 Free

• Gabriel Balmelle — 2nd in the 200 IM, 3rd in the 100 Breast

• Connor McAlister — 4th in the 200 IM

• Kelvin Caesar — 2nd in the 50 Free, 2nd in the 100 Breast

• Ewan Rios — 3rd in the 100 Fly

The men secured four individual event wins and produced multiple runner-up finishes in a competitive meet. As a team, Salem defeated Fairmont State 123-69.

The women earned multiple second-place finishes and showed strong improvement across mid-distance and IM events. As a team, the Tigers fell 142-41
