SALEM, W.Va. — Salem University swimming is set to return to the pool for the 2026-27 season, with both the men's and women's programs slated for a nine-meet schedule featuring competition throughout West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
The season begins September 26 at The Bridge Sports Complex in Bridgeport, West Virginia, where Salem will compete in the The Bridge Relay Meet. The Tigers will then return to The Bridge on October 3 for the West Virginia State Invite, providing an early-season opportunity to compete against a larger field.
Salem opens November with a pair of meets, traveling to Wheeling University on November 11 before heading to West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon on November 13.
The Tigers continue the fall portion of the schedule on December 1 at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins before making the trip to Portsmouth, Ohio, on December 12 to take on Shawnee State University.
Following the holiday break, Salem returns to competition on January 9 at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland.
The Tigers will then travel to California, Pennsylvania, for a two-day stretch hosted by California University of Pennsylvania. Salem will compete in the Vulcan Invitational on January 15, followed by the California (PA) Winter Frenzy on January 16.
The regular season concludes January 22 when Salem travels to Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia.
With nine competition dates on the schedule, the 2026-27 season will give both Salem swimming programs opportunities to build throughout the fall and winter while facing a diverse slate of regional opponents. The schedule features relay competition, invitationals and traditional dual-meet opportunities as the Tigers prepare for the championship portion of the season.
