SALEM, W.Va. — Salem men's basketball delivered another dominant home performance on Monday night, powering past Penn State–Greater Allegheny 94–59 inside T. Edward Davis Gymnasium to improve to 3–1 on the season.
The Tigers controlled the game from start to finish, shooting 51.4% from the field and 44% from three while holding the Nittany Lions to just 36.5% overall. Salem also owned the rebounding battle 48–33 and turned 22 PSUGA turnovers into 36 points.
Zahki Fallen led the way with an electric 26-point performance on an ultra-efficient 10-of-12 shooting, including 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. Eman Lawal followed with 23 points, six rebounds, and four assists, dominating the interior while knocking down a pair of threes. Xavier Price added a 12-point, nine-rebound effort off the bench to spark a deep Salem rotation that produced 30 bench points.
Jamari Gamble contributed eight points, three rebounds, and two steals, while Mack Toomer gave the Tigers a lift with eight points, including a key three-pointer early in the second half. Salem assisted on 20 of its 36 made shots and pushed the tempo throughout the night, outscoring PSUGA 23–0 on fast-break points.
Defensively, Salem forced 22 turnovers and tallied 14 steals, with Fallen and Lawal combining for seven of them. The Tigers also held PSUGA to 8-of-31 shooting from deep.
After building a 45–30 halftime lead, Salem exploded for 49 points in the second half, stretching the margin to as many as 35.
Energized by thier third win of the season, the Tigers head to West Liberty for thier next contest on Wednesday, December 3rd.
