SALEM, W.Va. – The Salem University men's basketball team is gearing up for an action-packed 2025-26 campaign, as the Tigers announced their full schedule, highlighted by high-profile non-conference contests, key regional matchups, and lots of high-quality competition on display in the Valley of Learning this season.

The Tigers tip off the season November 14-15 at the Joe Retton Classic in Fairmont, W.Va., facing Edinboro University of Pennsylvania on Friday and Bloomsburg University on Saturday. The first road test comes on November 19 at Ashland University before Salem returns home on November 23 to take on Central Pennsylvania College. Several home games this season, including the home opener, will be broadcast locally on WGIE 92.7 FM.

December brings a mix of home and away challenges, starting with a December 1 matchup against Penn State Greater Allegheny, followed by a December 3 road trip to perennial power West Liberty. The Tigers will also host Wheeling (Dec. 6), Penn State Fayette (Dec. 8), West Virginia Wesleyan (Dec. 13), and Glenville State (Dec. 17), while visiting Davis & Elkins on December 10.

Conference play heats up in January with a January 3 trip to Concord, a January 7 home date with West Virginia State, and back-to-back road games at Charleston (Jan. 10) and Frostburg State (Jan. 14). The Tigers will host Fairmont State on January 17 before another stretch of road contests at Wheeling, Point Park, and West Virginia Wesleyan.

Salem will close the regular season with a February slate that includes home matchups against Davis & Elkins (Feb. 4), Charleston (Feb. 11), Frostburg State (Feb. 18), West Liberty (Feb. 25), and Point Park (Feb. 28). Road trips will include Glenville State, West Virginia State, and Fairmont State.
