SALEM, WV – Despite a spirited second-half comeback, the Salem University Tigers (2-19) fell to the University of Charleston (15-8) 68-60 on Wednesday night at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.

The Tigers faced a challenging start as Charleston surged to a 26-12 lead in the first quarter. The Golden Eagles' offense was firing on all cylinders early, shooting 52.9% from the field and an impressive 80% from three-point range in the opening period. By halftime, Salem trailed 41-23 after struggling with their field goal percentage in the second quarter.
