SALEM, W.Va. — Three members of the Salem University softball team earned national recognition from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association following the 2026 season, as Kendall Lemley was named a USCAA Second Team All-American while Alyssa Schultz and Brooke Wise earned Honorable Mention All-American honors.
Lemley, a standout pitcher and utility player for the Tigers, turned in one of the top all-around seasons on the roster. In the circle, Lemley posted a team-best 3.87 ERA across 148.1 innings pitched while recording 80 strikeouts and three complete-game shutouts. Opponents hit just .277 against her during the season. Offensively, Lemley added 22 hits, 11 RBIs, and a home run while appearing in all 51 games for Salem. Defensively, she committed just one error in 176 total chances for a .994 fielding percentage.
Schultz earned Honorable Mention All-American honors after producing a strong season in the middle of Salem's lineup. The freshman outfielder played and started all 51 games, batting .315 with 45 hits, seven doubles, a triple, and 16 RBIs. Schultz also posted a .399 on-base percentage and added 10 stolen bases during the year while recording a .970 fielding percentage defensively.
Wise also received Honorable Mention recognition following an impressive two-way campaign for the Tigers. At the plate, Wise hit .308 with 45 hits, 13 doubles, two triples, two home runs, and 16 RBIs while finishing with a team-leading .466 slugging percentage. In the circle, Wise logged 72.1 innings pitched and collected four victories during the season. She also contributed defensively with 89 assists and 41 putouts across 137 total chances.
In addition to the on-field honors, Salem was also well represented academically, with nine Tigers earning USCAA Academic All-American recognition. Abigail Harki, Ali Shrieve, Brooke Wise, Destiny Coble, Franchesca Alvaro, Kendall Lemley, Kyleigh Cook, Kylie Zinn, and Lila Grimm were all recognized for their success in the classroom while competing for the Tigers during the 2025-26 academic year.
The trio of All-Americans and Salem's strong showing on the Academic All-American list highlighted another successful year for the Tigers both on the field and in the classroom as the program continued to build momentum within the USCAA ranks.
