Tigers earn win over Ursuline, 6-3

SALEM, W.Va. (April 14) – The women's tennis team secured a 6-3 win over Ursuline Thursday afternoon for their first Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) win this season.
 
The Tigers (4-16, 1-3 G-MAC) won two doubles matchups, before claiming the singles contests at No. 2, No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
 
Junior Emerald Rosenbusch (Hutto, Texas/Hutto) and freshman Kathryne Mathis (Baytown, Texas/Ross S. Sterling) pulled out two wins each. Rosenbusch won at No. 2 doubles and No. 3 singles, while Mathis helped win No. 3 doubles and claimed a shutout victory at No. 5 singles.
 
The women's tennis team will be back at it tomorrow, Friday, April 15 at noon. Salem International was defeated 9-0 by Alderson Broaddus on Wednesday, April 13 this week.
