SALEM, W.Va. (April 6) – The Tigers fell to Shepherd, Fairmont State and West Virginia Wesleyan in non-confernce action on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
The Salem International University women's tennis team (3-13) lost to Shepherd 8-1 and dropped a pair of 9-0 decisions to both Fairmont State and West Virginia Wesleyan.
Freshman
Waverly Federico (Alvarado, Texas/Alvarado) picked up the Tigers lone win with a 6-3, 6-1 straight-set victory at No. 6 singles against Shepherd.
Salem International returns to the courts for Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play when it hosts Cedarville on Friday, April 8 in the afternoon.
