New Beginnings for Salem Volleyball

Salem takes 1 of 4 on the weekend

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 West Chester, PA - Under the new leadership of Ashley Ziegle, Salem looks to get the year off to a good start. After three hard fought losses, SIU gets it together in the fourth match vs Bowie State.

Rachel Hess finished the weekend with 30 kills and 29 digs after 4 matches
Sophie Freihofer finished the weekend with 15 kills and 38 digs after 4 matches
Cassidy Pluta started as the Libero the first match with 12 digs and then was switched to the setter position tallying up 36 assists in the last 3 matches and finishing the weekend with a total of 16 digs after all 4 matches.
 
This weekend was a hard fought weekend with many long rally's. The team showed a lot of heart on the court and worked to come back from deficits. We still have a long way to go from here but you can see the drive to be better than the past! I am excited to see how the season will turn out!
