LEBANON, ILL.-The Salem University men's water polo team defeated McKendree 15-13, to earn a second-place finish in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division II Championships, Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Tigers boast a 7-10 record on the year.
Salem was led by junior
Milos Popovic as he netted three goals on the day.

Austin Kephart each posted two goals each.

Mike Diaz each added one score apiece.
"Taking away a second-place finish from this weekend was a small representation of the courage and strength this squad demonstrated through a difficult three games," stated Men's Water Polo Head Coach

The Tigers are back in action Saturday as they travel to Bronx, N.Y. for the Fordham invite with a match against Iona at 10:00 a.m. and Fordham at 6:30 p.m.
