LEMONT FURNANCE, Pa. – The Salem University men's and women's cross country teams ran in the Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions Invitational, Saturday.
The men's team finished in seventh place, while the women's team placed sixth.
For the women in the 6K, freshman
Asia Hines crossed the finish line first for the Tigers, with a time of 30:59.1, well enough for 23
rd place.
Sophomore
Cerise Dingiswayo ran her way to 29
th and a time of 32:12.2, while freshman
Ashia King finished 35
th with a mark of 40:31.5.
On the men's side in the 8K, freshman
Dominic Mazzariello placed 34
th overall with a time of 31:35.7.
Freshman
Delmar Jeter finished five spots behind Mazzariello in 39
th place with a mark of 36:46.7, while sophomore
Xavier Engleton ran to a time of 38:00.7 for a 40
th place finish.
This concludes the regular cross country season for both teams as the regional cross country competition will take place on November 17
th at Slippery Rock.
