COLUBMIA, S.C. (March 2, 2018) – Playing outdoors in the elements, with the wind and sun on their backs, the Salem University Tigers women's tennis team lost 7-2 to Benedict College.
Salem took two victories by forfeit due to illness, but dropped fell short in the other seven matches, with
Anna Kovalova extending her singles match to three set.
"The girls had a tough time in the wind today," Head Coach
Todd Tucker said. "However, they displayed that Salem never give up attitude and kept fighting the entire match."
With the loss, Salem drops to 1-8 on the season. They will resume action on Monday against Newberry College, kicking off the Hilton Head Spring Fest.
