WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -The Salem University women's tennis team swept Daemen 7-0, Friday night.
Â
Playing in the Miller Tennis Center late Friday night, Salem competed as if its life depended on it. It was the first match of the season, but the team competed as if it were the last. The Tigers started the match by grabbing the doubles point and not looking back as they won all six singles winning the match 7-0. Â
Â
"The girls played lights out tennis. We have been working very hard in a short period of time as they have only been on campus a short while. I was pleasantly surprised as the girls took to the pre-game speech and just focused on the ball and the task at hand. The girls played with a great Salem Athletics attitude," stated coach
Todd Tucker.Â
Â
The Tigers continue non-conference play as they are back in action with a match at Roberts Wesleyan at 12:00 p.m. SundayÂ
