Thirteen home contests, including a Thanksgiving Eve match-up against a Final Four team highlight the
2019-20 Salem University Women's Basketball Schedule, which tips off Saturday afternoon at home against Miami University-Hamilton (Ohio). Game time is 2 p.m. at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.

Salem is coming off an 8-19 season last year, but finished the season winning four of its final seven games. The Tigers scored at least 90 points in four of those contests.

Salem returns five players who started in at least 10 games last year.
Nia Bishop led the Tigers in scoring with a 15.8 average, while
Precious Price averaged 13.1 points per contest. Price also dished out more than three assists per contest.
Endia Jones, who pulled down more than seven boards per game last season, is the Tigers' top returning rebounder.

Price's 27 points against Seton Hill University was the Tigers' single-game high last season. She also scored 26 points against Central State University, as did
Nerea Arambarri Fernandez against Bluefield State.

Saturday's season opener is the first of four home contests during the month of November. Salem hosts Tiffin University on the 16th as part of a Saturday afternoon doubleheader with the Tiger men's basketball team. The Tigers also play host to Slippery Rock University on the 20th.

The day before Thanksgiving, Salem plays host Indiana University of Pennsylvania, which won the 2019 NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional and advanced to the Final Four. The Crimson Hawks are ranked No. 8 in the 2019-20 WBCA Division II Preseason Top 25.

The Tigers have three home games in December and then return from Christmas Break to play host to Davis and Elkins College January 2. Salem has three consecutive home games January 13-23 before playing its next five games on the road. The Tigers wrap up their home schedule February 17 against Alderson Broaddus University and February 22 against Bluefield State College.
