WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Salem University women's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 win over Winston-Salem, Sunday afternoon.
"The girls played amazing considering there were 20 mph winds outside. We stayed focused on our footwork and played the fat part of the court. I am very proud of the team effort today," stated head coach
Todd Tucker.
In singles, Piatek defeated Champion 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1, while Kunic picked up the win over Brown 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2.
Glowinska earned a 6-0, 6-1 win over Harris at No. 3 singles, while Rusyn won at No. 4 6-0, 6-1 over Jennelle.
Vuksanovic won by default at No. 6 singles.
The Tigers are back in action tomorrow as they face off against Fayetteville State at 1:00 p.m.
