SALEM, W.Va. - The Salem University women's basketball team defeated Virginia University of Lynchburg 93-61 in an exhibition game on One King's Sports Day, Saturday.
 
The win increases the Tigers to 6-16 on the season.
 
The Tigers outshot the Dragons in field-goal percentage 37.1 percent to 26.8 percent. Salem also had a higher three-point percentage than the Dragons serving 30.0 percent to their 25.0 percent.
 
Salem was led by junior 
Precious Price with a game highs of 17 points and six rebounds. Freshman 
Nia Bishop followed with 15 points.
 
Junior 
Imari Bowers had 12 points, all being from outside of the arc. Freshman 
Tamia Tart also contributed with ten points, as junior Reeva Johnson notched 14 rebounds.
 
The Dragons were led by freshman Jonna Roberson and sophomore Jeanine Walker who each netted 12 points. Junior Ashley O'Neal had a team high of 13 rebounds.
 
The Tigers are set to host Davis & Elkins Monday at 5:00 p.m.
